The US Department of 首页。land Security has released a 新I-20表格 to make it easier for you to read and update. Some notable changes include:

A more visible SEVIS ID number, school, and program of study for the student.

A better separation of the student’s information from the dependent(s) information.

Expandable field boxes that display information about cap gap extension, 身份变更, 历史事件, and other authorizations.

General design improvements that include moving the instructions to the third page of the Form I-20, as well as the removal of the barcode, and the blocks for visa and port of entry information.
Add Dependents Request Form
International students who wish to bring dependents (spouse and children) in the US should request an I-20 issued for every dependent. The financial information in SEVIS (学生 and Exchange Visitor Information System) will be updated to reflect expenses needed to provide for the dependents while completing the full 12 credit hour course load.
If the dependent is a US citizen or a permanent resident, there is no need to request an I-20.
Once the I-20 for each dependent is issued, the F-1 student needs to sign it on page 1, section 11.
